We are off to Tanzania today! Our flight takes off at 7 pm tonight, and 18 hours later we land at Kilimanjaro Airport at 8 pm on Friday!
Fratern Tarimo, the founder and cordinator for Volunteer Kilimanjaro, is to meet us at the airport (we hope!) and drive us 3 hours to the village of Tarakea. We will be staying with a host family as we teach in a local school with 150 students for two weeks. Most of the classes are taught in English, and so hopefully, there won't be too much of a language barrier.
We're packing the goods we are bringing for our classes there: dice, playing cards, stickers, pencils, workbooks, Silly Bandz, Smarties, our student letters and math beach balls.
Good luck Tara. Have fun!
